Analytics Filters
The filter bar sits at the top of the Analytics dashboard and controls every section on the page. Set your filters, click Apply, and the summary cards, charts, and tables all refresh together to match.
The Filter Bar
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Period Start | The first day to include. Defaults to 30 days ago. |
| Period End | The last day to include. Defaults to today. |
| Templates | Limit the dashboard to one or more templates. Defaults to all templates. |
| Users | Limit the dashboard to activity involving one or more users. Defaults to all users. |
| Tags | Limit the dashboard to checklists carrying one or more tags. Defaults to all tags. |
The Templates, Users, and Tags filters are multi-select dropdowns. Each one includes a search box for quickly finding an entry, and Select All / Deselect All actions. When you select more than one item, the dropdown shows a count (for example, 3 selected) rather than listing every choice.
note
Leaving a filter empty means no restriction — it includes everything. For example, an empty Templates filter reports on all templates, not none.
Applying Filters
After changing any filter, click the green Apply button. A loading indicator appears while the dashboard recalculates, then every section updates to reflect your selection.
Filters are combined together so that a checklist or task must match all of them to be included. For example, selecting a single template and a single user shows only that user's activity within that template.
Resetting Filters
Click the Reset button to return the dashboard to its defaults:
- Period Start back to 30 days ago
- Period End back to today
- Templates, Users, and Tags cleared (all included)
The dashboard reloads automatically after a reset.
Date Range Behaviour
The selected period is inclusive of both the start and end days. It is interpreted in your local time zone, running from 00:00 on the Period Start day to 23:59 on the Period End day, and then matched against your data (which is stored in UTC) behind the scenes.
This means you always see a full day's worth of activity for both the first and last day of your range, expressed in your own time zone.
Drilling Down by Clicking Rows
You can apply filters without using the filter bar at all. In the By Template and By User tables, each row is clickable:
- Clicking a template row adds that template to the Templates filter and reloads the dashboard.
- Clicking a user row adds that user to the Users filter and reloads the dashboard.
This lets you start from a high-level view and progressively narrow down to a single template or person with a couple of clicks. Drill-downs add to your current filters, so you can stack them — for example, click a template, then click a user, to see that user's activity within that template.
note
To undo a drill-down, remove the item from the relevant dropdown in the filter bar (or click Reset to clear everything).
