AI Credits

AI credits are what CheckFlow's AI features are paid in. A credit is a small, fixed amount of AI work, so building a large template from a long document uses more credits than a short one from a sentence. Your team's credits are shown, and more can be bought, on the AI tab of Team Management.

Credits are shared by the whole team. Nobody has a personal allowance.

Included Credits

PlanIncluded creditsTopped up
Free trial150 for the whole trialNever. A trial's credits are a one-off allowance.
Business250 a month for each paid seat, and at least 1,000Every month
Enterprise750 a month for each paid seat, and at least 5,000Every month

Paid seats are your Administrators and Members. Guests are free and never counted. A workspace on a licence is treated as Business unless it is on Enterprise.

What AI Work Costs

WorkTypical costCredits you need left to start
Build a template from a description5 to 10 credits10
Build a template from documents20 to 40 credits25
Read a scanned page or an image25 credits a page, on top of the cost of the import—

Each action is charged for the AI work it actually used, to three decimal places, so these are typical figures rather than fixed prices. One import reads at most 20 pages of scans and images, so reading them costs at most 500 credits.

Credit Packs

PackPrice
2,500 creditsUS$10
7,500 creditsUS$25
20,000 creditsUS$60

The Buy AI Credits dialog shows each price in your own currency. Payment is taken by Paddle, CheckFlow's payment provider, with tax added where it applies, and Paddle emails the receipt. See Buying Credits for the steps.

Behaviour and Validation Rules

  • The allowance is used first. Purchased credits are used only once the allowance for the month, or the trial's credits, have run out.
  • Purchased credits are used oldest first. When you have bought more than one pack, the credits that expire soonest are used first.
  • Purchased credits last 12 months from the day they are bought. Credits left after that expire.
  • Unused allowance does not roll over. Each month starts with the full allowance again, whatever was left the month before. Purchased credits carry over until they expire.
  • The month runs from your subscription's start date. A subscription that started on the 17th is topped up on the 17th of each month; one that started on the 31st is topped up on the last day of shorter months. A licence, or a subscription with no recorded start date, uses calendar months.
  • Subscribing ends the trial's allowance. When a trial workspace subscribes, its first full month of allowance starts that day, and nothing used during the trial counts against it.
  • Work that produces no template is still charged for what the AI did — a build you stop part way, one that fails, a request the generator turns down, and one blocked by the safety filter. Leaving the page during a build does not stop it being charged.
  • Discarding a template does not refund its credits. The work was done when it was built.
  • The last credits can be overspent by one action. Two builds started at the same moment can both use the last of the credits. The overshoot is never more than one action.

When there are not enough credits left, Generate Template is disabled in the build dialog and the build cannot start. On a monthly plan the message says when the credits are topped up again:

Your team has used this month's AI credits. They are topped up again on 17 October. An administrator can see what they were used for in Team Management, on the AI tab.

In a trial, the message suggests subscribing for a monthly allowance.

Examples

A Business team with 10 paid seats gets 10 × 250 = 2,500 credits a month. Building 150 templates from descriptions at about 8 credits each uses 1,200, leaving 1,300 for the rest of the month.

An Enterprise team with 4 paid seats gets the Enterprise minimum of 5,000 credits a month, because 4 × 750 = 3,000 is less than the minimum.

A team that runs out on the 10th and buys a 2,500-credit pack uses the pack for the rest of the month. When the allowance is topped up, the allowance is used first again, and whatever is left of the pack waits until the next time the allowance runs out, for up to 12 months.
